Refund Policy Overview
Our refund policy varies depending on the type of service booked, the timing of the cancellation, and the reason for the refund request. This policy applies to all services booked through our website, by phone, or in person.
We aim to be fair and transparent in our approach to refunds while also protecting our business from last-minute cancellations that cannot be rebooked.
Deposit and Payment Terms
Standard Appointments
For standard makeup appointments (non-bridal):
- A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the service price is required to secure your booking.
- The remaining balance is due on the day of the service.
- Payments can be made by credit/debit card, bank transfer, or cash (in-studio only).
Bridal Services
For bridal makeup services:
- A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total service price is required to secure your booking date.
- The remaining balance is due 14 days before the wedding date.
- Trial appointments require full payment at the time of booking.
Group Bookings and Workshops
For group bookings and workshops:
- A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to secure your booking.
- The remaining balance is due 7 days before the scheduled date.

Exceptional Circumstances
We understand that exceptional circumstances may arise that are beyond your control. In the following cases, we may offer a full refund or rescheduling without additional fees:
- Serious illness or injury requiring hospitalization (medical documentation may be required)
- Bereavement of an immediate family member
- Natural disasters or severe weather conditions making travel impossible
- Government-imposed restrictions preventing the service from taking place
Each case will be evaluated individually, and the decision to provide a full refund in these circumstances is at the discretion of Quiet Spectrum management.
Cancellation by Quiet Spectrum
In the rare event that we need to cancel your appointment:
- If we cancel due to artist illness, emergency, or other unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund of all payments made, including the deposit.
- Whenever possible, we will attempt to find a suitable replacement artist before cancelling.
- We will make every effort to reschedule your appointment at a time convenient for you.
Rescheduling Policy
We understand that schedules can change, and we try to be accommodating with rescheduling requests:
- Standard Appointments: Can be rescheduled with at least 48 hours notice at no additional cost, subject to availability.
- Bridal Services: Can be rescheduled with at least 30 days notice, subject to availability. Rescheduling with less notice may incur a rebooking fee of £50.
- Group Bookings/Workshops: Can be rescheduled with at least 14 days notice, subject to availability. Rescheduling with less notice may incur a rebooking fee of £75.
Please note that while we will try our best to accommodate rescheduling requests, we cannot guarantee availability for your new preferred date and time.
Service Dissatisfaction
Your satisfaction is our priority. If you are dissatisfied with our services:
- Please inform the makeup artist immediately during or immediately after the service so that adjustments can be made.
- If issues cannot be resolved during the appointment, please contact us within 24 hours of the service with details and preferably photographs.
- Depending on the nature of the complaint, we may offer one of the following remedies:
- Touch-up appointment at no additional cost
- Partial refund
- Full refund (in cases of significant service failure)
- Credit toward future services
Please note that subjective preferences regarding makeup style are not grounds for a refund if the service was performed as agreed during consultation. This is why we strongly recommend booking a trial for important events.
Refund Processing Timeframe
When a refund is approved, the processing time depends on your payment method:
- Credit/Debit Card Payments: Refunds will be processed within 3-5 business days, though it may take 5-10 business days to appear in your account, depending on your card issuer.
- Bank Transfers: Refunds will be processed within 3-5 business days.
- Cash Payments: Refunds can be collected in person from our studio or processed via bank transfer.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please follow these steps:

- Provide your name, booking reference number, service details, and the reason for your refund request.
- Include any relevant documentation to support your request (e.g., medical certificate, flight cancellation notice).

Gift Cards and Vouchers
Our policy for gift cards and vouchers is as follows:
- Gift cards and vouchers are non-refundable but may be transferred to another person.
- Gift cards and vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise specified.
- Expired gift cards or vouchers cannot be refunded or extended.
- Gift cards and vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash.
- If a service purchased with a gift card or voucher is cancelled within our cancellation policy timeframes, the value will be returned as store credit.
Online Course and Digital Product Purchases
For online courses, tutorial videos, and other digital products:
- Digital products are non-refundable once access has been granted or content has been downloaded.
- If you have technical issues accessing the content, please contact our support team at [email protected].
- For online courses, we offer a 7-day money-back guarantee if you are not satisfied with the course content, provided you have completed less than 25% of the course.
Retail Product Purchases
For makeup and skincare products purchased from our studio:
- Unopened products in their original packaging may be returned within 14 days of purchase for a full refund or exchange.
- We cannot accept returns of opened or used products unless they are defective.
- Defective products may be returned within 30 days of purchase with proof of purchase for a replacement or refund.
- Sale items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged unless defective.
